ultra board Ultra BOARD is the ultimate under concrete insulation product,
combining the top insulation choices for under slab. It consists of:
  • 2 mil polyethylene sheet bonded to industrial strength bubble-pack (4 mil polyethylene)
  • A sheet of 99% pure aluminum foil
  • All laminated to a sheet of 2 lbs. density expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam
ultra board
The bubble-foil layer provides a solid membrane for the foam, which is otherwise prone to cracking and breaking apart. The polyethylene provides methane and radon barrier protection. Ultra BOARD addresses all forms of heat transfer under concrete: reflecting radiant heat toward the living space and preventing heat loss to the grade by conduction.
