PRODUCT SOLUTION: TVM eFoil Foil/Double Bubble/Foil
- For Methods 1 & 2: Use eFoil, Foil/ Double Bubble/Foil (2220-48-125) 48" Width.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
- TVM eFoil Duct Foil is a double layer of Polyethylene bubbles bonded to and sandwiched between two different radiant barrier aluminum foil sheets.
PRODUCT EFFECTIVENESS:
- eFoil Duct Foil is clearly effective, safe and very easy to install when compared to fiberglass insulation.
PRODUCT INSTALLATION:
- Method 1
- 1) Fasten eFoil 2" strips around the duct with rFoil 2" tape. By placing these strips every 2 to 3 feet, you create the airspace needed to achieve optimum R-values (R-6.2).
- 2) Wrap Bubble Barrier rFoil around the duct.
- 3) Tape it in place and tape all adjoining seams.
- Method 2
- 1) Wrap the duct using 12" wide pieces of Bubble Barrier eFoil. Overlap each layer 1" and do not leave any open space or exposed duct.
- 2) Fasten the end with rFoil Tape.
BUILDER'S NOTE:
- All tape should be applied using a flat-edge taping tool to ensure good adhersion.
