Applications

The Flow Guard can be used to balance heating, cooling, radiant, solar, heat pump or other water flow systems in flow ranges using pipe sizes from ¾" to 1¼".

Installations

Flow Guard works in any position - horizontal, vertical, up or down for flow. The flow direction is indicated with an arrow on the solid brass body. The union connections give sufficient straight pipe run to get accurate flow reading. To facilitate reading of the flow rate, rotate the grey rate indicator to the best position.

Balancing to the Desired Flow Rate

The balancing valve can be adjusted with an Allen key (4mm or 5/32"). Adjust the rate with all systems operating. The balancing screw may require numerous revolutions. This valve design allows exact adjustment with the lowest noise emission.
